More about him..
Born in 1971 in Havana, Cuba, Carlos Ariel showed talent for painting since his
childhood. He took part in several events, always getting first places. When he was 10
years old, he begins to study fine arts in a culture house located in his neighbourhood.
This precedent helps him to enter in the vocational art school "Paulita
Consepción", where he finished among the four best ones. This way, he gets a place
in "San Alejandro" Fine Art Academy, the most remarkable & prestigious fine
arts institution in Cuba.He also received his Art teaching certificate as well!!
During these years, he participated in 3 collective exhibitions and a personal one. After
he graduating in 1990, he begins an almost invisible run toward the artistic adulthood,
making another collective and personal exhibitions already mentioned in the biographical
summary.
Nowadays, an important part of his work, belongs to private collections in Japan, Saudi
Arabia,Switzerland, France, Spain, Canada, England, Italy, Belgium and United States.
The paintings of " Carlito " passes through a wide range of topics intertwined,
forming an entire world full of personal and peculiar visions of the reality, somewhat
different for him. Not by chance, the apocalyptic thing is present in almost all his work.
For obligation, if we could say that. All his live is plenty of revelations and guided by
a different God.
Determined to show the world "The dark side of the moon", he gives himself over
the creative work , until he feels a heart beat growing up on it. Nothing stays out of the
critical and contemplative eye of this creator and there is not mysterious line for his
hand that moves combustibly on the canvas, making twirls that finish in alive portraits of
what surrounds him. He likes to remember this sentence: "Genius isn't that one who
paints something never seen, it's that one who paints something never seen as if it was
old"
These words try to summarize the essence of Carlos Ariel fine art proposal, showing
that... the novel thing walks with humble suit, but not for this reason, it stops to be
from and for the people.
